Mission Resort + Club is seeking a Host to join our team Located in the rolling hills of Lake County, the award-winning, Mission Resort features deluxe accommodations, four distinct restaurants, two 18-hole championship golf courses, a luxury spa, and a wide range of recreational activities. We pride ourselves on delivering superior service and unrivaled hospitality.

As part of MMI Hotel Group, a company with over 69 years of experience in the industry, we are looking for a team member who will continue our tradition of excellence while enhancing the guest experience. The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming and promptly seating customers in a professional and courteous manner. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the dining room is in proper condition before guests arrive and meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to restaurant and hotel policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience and is able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. If you enjoy working in the restaurant industry and understand the importance of customer service, this could be the job for you.

We're looking for a friendly, organized, and guest-focused professional to join our dining team as a Host. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

As a Host, you will:

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Manage reservations, wait lists, and seating arrangements efficiently
• Escort guests to tables and present menus
• Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest flow
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth dining operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
• Uphold resort standards for hospitality, appearance, and guest service

Requirements:

• Open availability, including weekends and holidays
• Previous host or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
