Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Clerk to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role requires strong communication skills, hospitality management experience, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual abilities and hotel management knowledge are highly valued to enhance guest relations and streamline front desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression of the hotel or resort
- Check guests in and out efficiently using multi-line phone systems and front desk software
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications with attention to detail
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate guest records and ensure proper billing procedures
- Assist with night audit procedures when required, ensuring financial accuracy
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when communicating via phone or email
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (preferred)
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems
- Ability to handle night audit procedures (nice-to-have)
- Exceptional phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Hospitality industry knowledge with an understanding of resort or hotel operations
- Multitasking skills with attention to detail in record keeping and guest interactions
