Position Summary
The Installation Manager / Site Supervisor oversees all on-site commercial furniture installation activities for client projects. This role is responsible for coordinating installation crews, managing jobsite logistics, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within scope. The position serves as the primary on-site representative of the dealership, working closely with project managers, clients, general contractors, and installers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and supervise on-site installation of commercial furniture systems and products
- Manage installation crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, general contractors, and project teams
- Coordinate site access, deliveries, staging, punch lists, and close-out activities
- Review drawings, installation plans, and project schedules to ensure accurate execution
- Monitor jobsite safety, enforce OSHA standards, and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards
- Identify and resolve installation issues, change conditions, and field modifications
- Track labor hours, materials, and installation progress; provide regular status updates to management
- Support continuous improvement in installation processes, crew performance, and customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor installation team members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial furniture installation or site management
- Strong knowledge of commercial furniture systems, modular products, and installation methods
- Proven ability to lead and manage crews and multiple active job sites
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read construction documents, drawings, and installation plans
- Working knowledge of jobsite safety standards and best practices
- Proficiency with basic technology (email, mobile apps, project management tools)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contract furniture dealerships or furniture manufacturers
- OSHA certification or safety training
- Leadership experience managing both in-house and subcontracted installation teams
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Installers may work both indoors and outdoors, depending on the installation requirements
- The work environment can be physically demanding, requiring installers to lift or move heavy objects up to 100 pounds approx. 4 hours a day
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Moderate noise level in work environment
- Vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk stairs
- Work hours and schedule for furniture installers can vary depending on specific project requirements; after hours or weekend work may be required
Pay: $65, $70,000.00 per hour
