Overview
Admera Health is seeking a Junior System Engineer to join our growing team
ADMERA - Entering the AD vanced M olecular ERA
Admera Health provides genomic and bioinformatic services supporting discovery through clinical research stages. Our services include solutions for genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and bioinformatics. Admera has deep expertise working with single-cell, FFPE, custom panels, and difficult or low-input samples.

Title: Junior System Engineer
Department: IT
Location: South Plainfield, NJ
Responsibilities:
- Perform IT services to users onsite and remote.
- Install and manage all computer and network equipment including switches, routers, and firewall rules.
- Help to manage the storage infrastructure for virtualization, high availability systems and data consolidation.
- Help to manage infrastructure provisioning and procurement process for upgrade and maintenance of manage infrastructure.
- Maintain company Data Storage Devices, SMB, NFS.
- Maintain IT compliances including HIPAA/HITECH, etc.
- Assist with audits including IT Security, penetration testing, CAP, CLIA etc.
- Maintain IT SOPs including disaster recovery.
- Maintain System security including Threat Management, intrusion detection, and patching.
- Maintain local Unifi Environment and firewall (Sonicwall).
- Maintain Cloud Infrastructure – AWS.
- Maintain Unifi Talk.
- Assist with company integrations.
- Administer LIS/LIMS/CRM environments.
- Various projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree within the IT, Computer Science or other related fields with 3-5+ years of experience required.
- Master's degree with 1-3+ years of experience preferred.
- Able to work independently
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Collaborative, Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Eager to learn and take initiative
- Strong customer-service mindset when supporting internal and external users
- Strong problem solving
- Strong Creative, Thorough and Holistic mindset
- 1-3+ years' experience with Linux operating systems (especially centos/ubuntu) required.
- 1-3+ years of cloud Infrastructure experience required (AWS preferred).
- 1-3+ years of scripting experience required (Powershell/Bash) preferred.
- 1-2+ years of VMware vSphere Administration preferred.
- 1-2+ years of VMware vSphere Administration preferred.
- Strong analytical skills/intellectual curiosity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
- Ability to multitask
