Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.
The OpportunityThe successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and execution of claims monitoring for a designated region of dealers. They will be responsible for driving the achievement of team targets to ensure alignment with Ally's strategic initiatives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with matrix partners at the leadership level is essential to this role. The candidate will address challenges and eliminate obstacles to support team success, while also mentoring and developing team members to enhance team strategies and improve the overall customer experience.
The Work Itself- Lead the development, implementation and administration of innovative strategies to achieve all business targets
- Manage a team of Fixed Operations Specialists driving innovation and loss control strategies through execution of strategic initiatives
- Provide expert guidance and consulting to your team, matrix partners, and dealers
- Lead or supervise onsite consultative reviews
- Collaborate with peers to make decisions regarding day-to-day team responsibilities ensuring consistency across regional teams and supporting operational strategies
- Exercise latitude in decision-making within the broader strategy, with the expectation of delegating tasks to team members
- Oversee performance of the region and individual team member's territories
- Ensure an exceptional experience for dealers and matrix partners
- Manage the team to deliver on quality and servicing expectations
- Oversee the team's core responsibilities including analytical exercises, risk framework processes, and SalesForce processes
- Develop a regular cadence of contacts and meetings with matrix partners to collaborate on loss control strategies within your region
- Create and execute customized development plans for team members based on their tenure and knowledge base, including regular ride-along sessions
- Collaborate across the team to ensure workload leveling
- Demonstrate strong expertise and knowledge within various project processes; participate in and support system enhancements and product development and refreshes. Lead and execute projects as required.
- Escalate concerns as appropriate and work with leadership to remove roadblocks
- 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Extensive travel up to 50% required. Occasionally assist with Canadian operations if necessary.
- Proficient in MS Office programs with strong emphasis on excel and Power BI
- Must be self-driven and capable of executing strategy with limited supervision
- Innovative thinker and effective problem solver
- Strong collaboration skills across all levels within the organization
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Must have fundamental experience with Ally Insurance
- Prior dealership experience preferred, or a background in the automotive industry required
- Ability to have crucial conversations with others including dealer principles and key stakeholders
- Prior leadership experience required
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
