Responsibilities
· Indicate loads that have been picked up on the "Big Board".
· Enter any pro numbers into BOL notes.
· Run BOL freight analysis and check off "Big Board".
· Ship and confirm orders.
· Print and process FedEx shipments Fed Ex software.
· Track shipments after being picked up to get an accurate idea of transit times.
· Assist in searching for additional freight carriers.
· Print and match BOLs.
· Print out next day's loads.
· Get quotes for LTL loads and prepaid shipments.
· Print out loads and place them in the rack for warehouse to process.
· Set up special loads and get quotes as requested.
· Arrange loads for the market and schedule trucks.
· Research loads or billing questions as requested.
· Assists Customer Service in getting answers to customer questions pertaining to West Coast orders.
· File claims and add to claims log.
· Approve West Coast freight invoices as needed.
· Assist with freight analysis.
· Cross-train with Shipping Coordinator – East Coast.
· Completes Shipping Coordinator – East Coast tasks when the Shipping Coordinator – East Coast is absent.
· Maintain high shipping standards at A-America and update West Coast Shipping SOP as needed.
Requirements
· Working knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
· Intermediate to advanced level computer skills, including ERP system, MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Excellent written and verbal communication.
· Accuracy and attention to detail.
· Strong administrative and organizational skills required with the ability to work independently handle multiple tasks and deliverables.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Ability to stand all day and maneuver throughout the warehouse.
· Flexible and adaptable to change as the business grows and develops.
· High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
