Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chefto lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in menu planning, staff supervision, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and food service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
- Oversee menu development, planning, and execution for various dining formats including fine dining, catering, and banquet events
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the kitchen
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth operations during all service hours
- Supervise food handling, preparation, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Oversee dietary department needs and accommodate special dietary requirements
- Lead training sessions on culinary techniques, food safety, and customer service for staff
- Collaborate with management on restaurant operations, including budgeting and resource allocation
- Manage catering events from planning through execution, ensuring client satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining, banquet, or cateringenvironments with a strong culinary background
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food production, menu planning, inventory management, and food safetyprotocols
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Extensive kitchen managementexperience including shift managementand food service management
- Strong understanding of the food industry, including culinary techniques, food handling, and restaurant operations
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction
- Experience with hospitality, serving, or bartending is a plus but not required
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a dynamic environment
