Mechanical Technician

NYDIG is a vertically integrated bitcoin financial services and infrastructure firm committed to market-leading regulatory compliance and operational excellence. NYDIG is explosively expanding in the Bitcoin mining space which requires dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Description

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Mechanical Manager and will be responsible for regularly assessing facilities and equipment while carrying out scheduled maintenance and keeping thorough records. It includes diagnosing issues, repairing building systems, handing urgent repairs and assisting with construction and installation projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility inspections and equipment checks.
• Perform repairs on building systems and machinery.
• Preventative maintenance tasks and documentation.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Support construction, renovations, or installation projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
• Experience working indepently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Experience with mechanical maintenance of equipment, machinery, or building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
• Preventative and predictive maintenance experience.
• Basic construction skills: carpentry, drywall, painting, minor framing.
• Knowledge of small facility systems: pumps, compressors, motors, and other relevant machinery and able to read/interpret technical manuals.
• Safe operation of hand tools, power tools, lifts and shop equipment.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Forklift / aerial lift certification.
• OSHA 10
• HVAC, plumbing or welding certifications (preferred)
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50+ lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures (outdoor, indoor, warehouse, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
