Job Description We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining our cloud-native platform infrastructure on AWS. You will be responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing our AWS-based platform using Terraform, Kubernetes, and scripting. You will ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and optimized to meet the demands of a fast-paced financial services environment.
Collaborating with software and data engineering, security, and product teams, you will define and execute a strategic vision for platform engineering while driving operational excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and manage AWS infrastructure
Deploy, scale and maintain Kubernetes clusters
Automate infrastructure and operations to improve efficiency
Performance & Reliability
Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
Monitor and analyse AWS resources to proactively resolve issues
Improve observability
Collaboration & Compliance
Work with development and security teams to enhance platform resilience and security posture
Collaborate with application developers to build CI/CD pipelines and workflows
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards in the financial industry
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud architecture roles
Proven expertise in designing and managing AWS cloud-native architectures
Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries will be considered an advantage
Technical Skills
Infrastructure as code: Hands-on experience with Terraform
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
CI/CD & Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Cloud architecture: understanding of cloud best practices for highly available, elastic, and scalable solutions
AWS Services: Proficiency with IAM, Lambda, S3 and other core AWS services
Scripting experience: Python or similar
Leadership & Collaboration
Ability to work cross-functionally with development and security teams
Ability to drive change
