Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various manufacturing processes, injection molding, and machining. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring quality standards are met. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and fostering a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring production targets are met.
- Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance on best practices in machining, fabrication, and assembly.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathes, press brake machines, and forklifts.
- Coordinate materials handling and ensure proper inventory management within the warehouse.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plastics extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding processes.
- Familiarity with CNC operations and programming is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to production metrics.
- Experience with materials handling and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65, $70,000.00 per year
