We are seeking a skilled Master Planner to drive procurement and supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on problem-solving, collaboration, and strategic decision-making. The Master Planner will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and inventory levels to ensure seamless production while staying ahead of market trends and supplier capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and procure raw materials, intra-group supplies, and outsourced services to support both short- and long-term production needs while optimizing costs.
- Manage purchase orders for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Monitor and adjust MRP forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
- Analyze and improve supplier on-time delivery (OTD) performance while proactively addressing potential production delays.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to resolve quality and delivery concerns.
- Oversee invoice reconciliation, RFQ management, database reviews, and inventory reporting.
- Manage re-order point levels based on production forecasts and business goals.
- Track and replenish non-consignment MRO stockroom inventories through MRP
- Identify, assess, and develop supplier partnerships in alignment with OEM guidelines.
- Implement and uphold purchasing policies and contract management procedures in compliance with ISO standards.
- Audit supplier processes and documentation, ensuring adherence to quality and ISO requirements.
- Maintain accurate vendor/supplier records to support compliance and analysis.
- Lead RFP processes, ensuring competitive pricing and availability to meet customer demands.
- Expedite quotations and provide timely responses to RFQ clarifications.
- Collaborate across departments to forecast business needs and align purchasing decisions with demand.
- Ensure all required supplier documentation is received on time to maintain production schedules.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associate's degree or higher required.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a multi-site and international environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, including expediting materials to support production needs.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- CPIM certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with FAR, DFAR, DPAS, and ITAR compliance preferred.
