Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with expertise in restorative dentistry, surgery, prosthodontics, periodontics and endodontics.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for adult patients.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment options and procedures clearly to patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination within the clinic environment.
- Collaborate with dental assistants to practice four-handed dentistry, enhancing efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Use dental imaging technology to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning while ensuring proper anatomy knowledge is applied during procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery techniques, to provide high-quality care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to HIPAA, medical records management, and infection control policies.
Requirements
- Valid license to practice dentistry with eligibility to work within the jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings with familiarity in using practice management software (Open Dental )
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and understanding of infection control protocols are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
