About

General Role Description  

The Estimator is responsible for evaluating project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for selective demolition projects. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the company secures profitable work by accurately projecting costs related to labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and schedules, all while aligning with company strategy and risk profile.

Key Responsibilities – Estimating & Sales

  1. Organize, Distribute, and Proactively manage Bid requests. Get left of every job
  2. Analyze bid packages, architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
  3. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all demolition scopes including structural, interior, and selective components
  4. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors
  5. Collaborate with the operations team to understand labor productivity, equipment capabilities, and site logistics
  6. Prepare bid proposals, cost summaries, and scopes of work tailored to client requirements
  7. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and post-bid reviews to understand project-specific conditions and risks
  8. Support contract negotiations with accurate and clearly defined cost structures and inclusions/exclusions
  9. Track historical data and utilize it for cost benchmarking and estimate refinement
  10. Assist in project handoff meetings with operations team to ensure clarity and alignment on scope and budget

Key Responsibilities – Project Management

  1. Utilize CRM for project wins, send and build accurate project wins
  2. Facilitate or ensure that pre-con meetings are conducted on all new jobs. We walk every job before starting, introduce our field team members, and fully understand the clients' operations teams expectations and schedule
  3. Meet or exceed Gross Profit goals of 35%
  4. Lead the Safety 1st mindset and ensure field is delivering. Drive Safety Culture
  5. Review and understand contractual obligations
  6. Manage change orders in a timely manner/billing projections/cost-to-complete
