Good Graces is Raleigh's newest eatery, bar, and market located in the heart of the newly developed North Hills Innovation District. Casually sophisticated and thoughtfully designed, Good Graces will be a multi-functional destination for our community to eat, drink, gather, and shop.
We are seeking an individual who is positive, self-motivated, and has a passion for quality food, beverage, and service. This candidate must be able to foster teamwork and the ability to skillfully navigate a variety of personalities. We are looking to hire someone who holds themselves to a high standard of excellence and finds fulfillment and motivation in people management and the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Schedule shifts and manage staff duties to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Food Preparation and Production:
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high culinary standards.
- Develop and update the menu, including seasonal specials and product offerings.
- Oversee the catering and family meal business
Inventory and Ordering:
- Manage inventory levels of all kitchen supplies, food products, and equipment.
- Place orders with suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
- Perform regular inventory audits to minimize waste and optimize product usage.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas.
- Conduct regular safety training for kitchen staff.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Assist in the preparation and management of the kitchen budget.
- Monitor food costs and labor costs, implementing strategies for cost reduction.
- Analyze sales data to drive menu pricing and profitability.
Customer Experience:
- Collaborate with service staff to ensure exceptional food presentation and delivery.
- Address customer feedback and complaints related to food quality or service.
- Special Projects:
- Participate in events, catering, and community activities to promote Good Graces
- Stay updated on culinary trends and suggest innovative ideas to enhance the menu.
Qualifications:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Outstanding management, mentorship, and training abilities
- Able to project manage and problem solve with attention to timeliness and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure and be a calm problem-solver in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Must be ServSafe certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
