Compensation: $75,000 - $99,000/yr

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our growing consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting on-premises and cloud-based systems for different customers primarily through the delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, and system infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Oversee patch management, backups, disaster recovery planning, and system updates.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; provide Tier 2/3 support as needed.
  • Implement and enforce system security policies, including vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams on infrastructure projects and enhancements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, Nutanix, etc.).
  • Proficiency with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (Azure, Entra ID, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience with identity management (Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA).
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting multiple customer accounts and delivering complex projects.
