Electrical Controls Engineer

Aqua Research is a small Albuquerque, NM based company founded in 2010 that develops and manufactures innovative electrolytic chlorine generators that use common salt to make a chlorine disinfecting and sanitizing solution. Products range from point-of-use (developing world, outdoor, military) to commercial scale generators with applications in a number of markets world-wide, including health care, cooling towers, potable water, aquatics, agriculture, and other industrial applications. JOB DESCRIPTION:

The skill requirements for this position are electrical controls in nature. An aptitude for things electrical is a must, as well as an interest in chemistry. We are looking for people who are senior level engineering students, grad students, or with less than 5 years industry experience who can bring the latest industry technical knowledge. Our turn-over rates are very low. The work environment is performance driven, but friendly and flexible. Our work will provide the candidate with a variety of skills. This is primarily an on-site job at our place of business in Albuquerque, NM, where we develop and produce the technology, but with some flexibility for work-from-home as long as job performance does not suffer.

Our small systems utilize custom circuit boards with Microchips, as well as larger PCBs with off the shelf micro processors, including GPS, wifi and other communications protocols to support remote monitoring and data collection. Our mid and large range products utilize IDEC panel mount HMI/PLCs and Siemens DIN rail mounted PLCs with Siemens panel mount HMIs utilizing ethernet and other communications protocols for remote diagnostics and control, and customer service support.

We require people that are self-starters and can work with minimal supervision

Ability to learn new skills quickly.

Ability to work well with others.

Ability to program micro processors as well as industrial PLCs with ladder logic along with HMI display programming.

Ability to problem solve and innovate are highly desirable.

A quality attitude and attention to detail are important.

Work typically includes new product development.

Includes customer support for systems installed in the field.

Prototype soldering and wiring.

Some mechanical assembly

Any assignment that helps the company operate and achieve success.

Pay: $72, $87,429.91 per year
