Job description

Service area for this position is servicing several nursing homes in the Daphne. Draws will be done overnight/early mornings on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Employee must be available for stat drawing and able to transport specimen. Please only apply if you can fit all criteria.

Essential Duties of the Phlebotomist:

• Accessions all cases received for testing by timely and accurately entering data into LIS, labeling samples and creating folders, generating specimen travel documents, and forwarding respective samples to personnel/departments.
• Works with laboratory and nursing home staff to optimize processes.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly; maintains and disinfects lab equipment as needed.

Required Experience:

• Two (2) year experience in drawing blood specimen's minimum with experience working with an elderly population
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft 365 Suite and Adobe
• Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual

Candidates must be willing to travel between multiple locations when needed (miles eligible for reimbursement).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
