Line Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling procedures
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy periods
• Support catering events and special functions as needed
• Stock and replenish kitchen supplies, ensuring proper storage of ingredients
• Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs when required
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and other culinary tools

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering assistant preferred
• Strong culinary skills with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling practices
• Experience with menu planning, fine dining service, and food presentation is a plus
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills
• Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous but not required
