Position: Host/Hostess (Part-Time and Full-Time Available)

Sea Watch on the Ocean is a landmark oceanfront restaurant located on the beautiful shores of Fort Lauderdale. For over 50 years, we've welcomed locals and visitors alike with fresh seafood, warm hospitality, and unparalleled views of the Atlantic. As a family-owned business with a high-volume setting, we pride ourselves on delivering memorable dining experiences in a professional yet friendly environment.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant, is comfortable speaking with guests, and takes pride in creating a great first impression.

What You'll Do:

• Greet every guest with warmth, eye contact, and a smile.
• Manage reservations and seating assignments using a floor chart and rotation system.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate accurate wait times during peak hours.
• Answer phones, take messages, and assist with guest inquiries.
• Guide guests to their tables and ensure they are seated comfortably.
• Collaborate with the management team and service staff to ensure smooth guest flow and table turnover.
• Keep the front entrance and host stand area clean and presentable at all times.

What We're Looking For:

• Prior restaurant host/hostess experience is a plus but not required - we're happy to train the right person.
• Friendly, professional attitude with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable standing and walking for long periods in a busy, high-traffic environment.
• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings especially during our busy season.
