Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various functions essential to organizational success. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human capital management, employment law, and HRIS systems, with excellent communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and strategic HR initiatives within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with talent acquisition processes including sourcing candidates through ATS platforms such as iCIMS, Workday, Taleo, and Lever.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Maintain and update employee records accurately within HRIS systems like SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, and Paychex.
- Coordinate employee evaluation and performance management activities in alignment with organizational goals.
- Administer benefits programs and manage benefits-related inquiries from employees.
- Support compliance with employment & labor laws, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies, and affirmative action planning.
- Assist in change management initiatives and organizational design projects.
- Facilitate employee relations efforts by addressing concerns and promoting positive workplace culture.
- Contribute to workforce management strategies including scheduling, staffing, and succession planning.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics through data collection and data entry tasks for strategic planning purposes.
- Support training & development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth opportunities.
- Manage HR sourcing activities to attract diverse talent pools via social media management and other channels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or internship in human resources or related administrative roles.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, ADP, Paylocity, Kronos, Ceridian, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA standards, workers' compensation procedures, and affirmative action planning.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in data collection, data entry, reporting tools, and HR software such as Taleo or iCIMS is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information related to employee records and organizational initiatives.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in contract management, performance evaluations, and benefits administration. This Human Resources Assistant role is vital for fostering a compliant, efficient, and engaging workplace environment while supporting the strategic objectives of the organization.
Pay: Up to $5,000.00 per month
