Financial Business Controller

Newly Created Financial Business Controller – Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)

Harmer and Associates has partnered with our global client to assist with a search for a newly created Financial Business Controller for the expansion of their North American footprint, this position will assist with improving efficiency, and supporting long-term growth. This is a brand-new role designed to partner directly with operations, own the P&L, and drive performance within a rapidly growing division.

Position will be responsible for:

• Partner closely with operations and senior leadership to drive profitability
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L accountability
• Deliver financial analysis, insights, and recommendations that influence decision-making
• Support stabilization and growth of a new plant environment
• Collaborate with operations, HR, and accounting on process improvements
• Leverage ERP (IFS) and Excel to streamline reporting and drive efficiencies

Company is looking for:

• Bachelors in finance/accounting/economics
• CPA/CA or equivalent strongly preferred
• MBA (preferred)Progressive finance experience
• IFS/OneStream, consolidation/reporting tools, and Power BI
• Familiarity with corporate finance standards and internal‑control expectations for reporting, statements, balance sheet review, and book of accounts.
• Hands-on, curious, and willing to dig into details
• Strong communicator comfortable presenting to senior leadership
• Adaptable, fast-learning, and effective in evolving, mid-size environments
• Experience in larger organizations is ideal for the scale and rigor required
