About The Role
The Data & Reporting Analyst for Ambulance Services at North Memorial Health plays a vital role in managing and developing comprehensive reports and dashboards that support operational decision-making and process improvements within the Ambulance Services Business Unit. This position involves partnering with business leaders to translate complex data into actionable insights, utilizing advanced analytics tools and techniques. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining and managing reporting databases within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.

The role requires a proactive individual capable of working collaboratively across departments, providing analytical support, and contributing to the organization's data-driven culture. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite at the Brooklyn Center, MN location at least once weekly, with a hybrid remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or statistics
  • Minimum of two years' experience in data analytics, preferably within healthcare or ambulance services
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, including table joins
  • Experience in developing Crystal Reports sourced from EDW
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems and sources
  • Knowledge of Business Objects universes and Web Intelligence reports
  • Understanding of EDW architecture and data constructs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate workflows and recommend process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Visio
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn independently
  • Basic understanding of billing, finance, or healthcare operations is preferred
  • Licensure or certifications related to data analysis or healthcare analytics are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and distribute reports and dashboards for Ambulance Services and other organizational stakeholders
  • Partner with business leaders to identify reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Maintain and optimize reporting databases within the EDW, ensuring data integrity and security
  • Create and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Design and generate Crystal Reports and WebI reports sourced from EDW
  • Utilize Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to develop interactive dashboards for performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to combine data from disparate systems for comprehensive analysis
  • Evaluate current workflows and processes, offering recommendations for efficiency improvements
  • Assist in training and supporting end-users on reporting tools and data interpretation
  • Stay updated on new analytics technologies and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and privacy policies
