Duties
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the computer support team, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues
- Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network infrastructure
- Manage computer management systems, including asset tracking and inventory control
- Oversee network configurations such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other security protocols to safeguard organizational data
- Troubleshoot software issues across various platforms using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to document incidents and track resolutions
- Support desktop support functions by assisting users with operating system problems, hardware malfunctions, and peripheral device setup
- Maintain IT infrastructure health by monitoring network performance and implementing necessary upgrades or repairs
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement firewall rules and VPN configurations that protect sensitive information
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on new software applications or system updates to improve overall technical literacy
Skills
- Proven experience in providing comprehensive IT support and technical troubleshooting across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and LAN troubleshooting
- Expertise in managing computer hardware components and performing repairs or upgrades as needed
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for incident management
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and end-users at all levels
- Ability to lead a team by delegating tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of service quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes
- Understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and operating systems management
- Knowledge of security protocols including firewall management and VPN setup to ensure data protection
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving
