Driver

***Part time mornings 7a-930am Occasional field trips**

• Maintain accurate attendance and transportation logs
• Assist children in entering and exiting the vehicle safely
• Support program staff with dismissal and arrival procedures as needed
• Ensure appropriate behavior and safety practices are followed during transport
• Keep the vehicle gased, clean, organized, and equipped with required safety materials
• Safely operate the program vehicle following all traffic laws and organizational policies
• Transport children to and from designated locations according to the daily route schedule
• Communicate promptly with program leadership regarding delays, incidents, or concerns
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report any maintenance needs
• Participate in required trainings, including CPR/First Aid, safety, and transportation compliance

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working with children preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate a passenger van or similar vehicle
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive during transportation
• Must pass background checks, drug screening, and meet state/local licensing requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
• Ability to assist children in and out of the vehicle
• Ability to conduct vehicle inspections, including bending, lifting, and walking around the vehicle

Primarily vehicle-based, with exposure to various weather conditions
