Location: Ny. NY/Fort Mill, SC/ Austin, TX

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient
Lead Oracle Applications Developer
to drive the design, development, and optimization of critical financial applications. This role requires deep expertise in
Advanced PL/SQL
and the
OFSAA ETL Framework
. The Lead will be responsible for defining technical architecture, ensuring code quality, driving performance tuning initiatives, and leading junior developers in complex system upgrades, data reconciliation, and batch orchestration efforts within our financial domain.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design

  • Serve as the technical lead for Oracle Application development projects, setting standards for coding, performance, and security.
  • Lead and conduct
    Technical Design Reviews
    , ensuring proposed solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Define and implement robust
    integration patterns
    between Oracle applications and other enterprise systems.
  • Drive continuous
    performance optimization
    and tuning of highly complex
    Advanced PL/SQL
    packages, stored procedures, and ETL processes to meet strict service level agreements (SLAs).

Development & Implementation

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code using
    Advanced PL/SQL
    with a focus on efficiency and performance for high-volume data processing.
  • Utilize and extend the
    OFSAA ETL framework
    (Financial Services Analytical Applications) for data ingestion, transformation, and management across various financial modules.
  • Develop and manage
    batch orchestration
    processes and schedules, ensuring dependencies are handled correctly and failures are managed gracefully.
  • Perform comprehensive
    code refactoring for major system upgrades
    and patch applications to modernize existing code and reduce technical debt.

Quality, Stability & Data Integrity

  • Architect, implement, and maintain advanced
    error handling & reconciliation frameworks
    to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data during ETL and application processing.
  • Collaborate closely with data architects, functional analysts, and QA teams to translate functional specifications into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, focusing on root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.

Requirements

  • (8+) years of experience
    in Oracle application development, with a strong focus on core financial or risk systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Advanced PL/SQL
    development, including performance tuning techniques (explain plans, indexing, SQL tracing).
  • Mandatory expertise with the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) ETL framework.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing
    batch orchestration
    and scheduling solutions (e.g., using Control-M, Tidal, or similar tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform
    code refactoring
    and system modernization for large-scale Oracle application upgrades.
  • Deep understanding of data integrity concepts, including building and managing
    error handling & reconciliation frameworks.
  • Solid experience leading
    Technical Design Reviews
    and defining
    integration patterns
    (e.g., messaging, file transfers, APIs) for Oracle systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with prior experience mentoring junior developers.

Preferences / Good to have

  • Experience with Cloud deployment patterns for Oracle applications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI).
  • Familiarity with functional aspects of Oracle EBS or Fusion Financials.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
