We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Supervisor to lead and coordinate construction projects from start to finish. This pivotal role involves supervising on-site activities, managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses according to project plans and schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and suppliers to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans.
- Manage project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to meet deadlines.
- Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards; conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and perform construction estimating to stay within financial parameters.
- Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure clarity and adherence to scope.
- Conduct quality control inspections; ensure work meets industry standards and client specifications.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical testing and HeavyBid for cost estimating when applicable.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, progress reports, incident logs, and safety documentation.
Skills
- Proven experience supervising construction sites with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with contracts management and project scheduling methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities including heavy equipment operation when necessary.
