A strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and safety protocols is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage, or from storage to shipping areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated locations, maintaining clear aisles.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to goods and equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
