Become a vital part of our growing team as a Distribution Center Associate in Des Moines, Iowa. This position is essential for the efficient operation of our distribution center, involving a range of tasks from receiving goods to preparing them for shipment. We are looking for energetic and detail-oriented individuals who prioritize Safety and accuracy. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver quality products to our customers on time.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise.
- Pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and safely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Stage outgoing orders for transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and potential issues.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks and perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Understand and implement established safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual labor, including significant Lifting, for extended periods.
- Commitment to Safety and following instructions precisely.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player attitude.
