Job Summary:
Seeking a reliable Material Handler for our Madison, Wisconsin warehouse. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our logistics hub, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport goods throughout the facility. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, stocking materials, and assisting with order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to production or shipping areas.
  • Stage materials for outgoing shipments.
  • Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles and storage areas.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition.
  • Assist with picking and packing operations as needed.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of heavy items (up to 60 lbs).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic logistics environment.
