This role is fundamental to our distribution process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, picking them accurately, and then carefully packing them to ensure they arrive at their destination in perfect condition. This fast-paced position requires a high level of attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order lists or scanning equipment.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and securely pack items to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packed orders.
- Transport packed orders to the shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse organization.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, ensuring the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle frequent lifting of up to 45 pounds. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE. Basic understanding of inventory and logistics processes. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
