About
We are seeking dedicated and skilled *Paramedics* to join our dynamic emergency medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in both emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring safe and effective transport to healthcare facilities. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent judgment, and the ability to perform under pressure in diverse environments.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide both *Advanced Life Support (ALS)* and *Basic Life Support (BLS)* in emergency situations.
* Perform thorough *patient assessments* and determine appropriate treatment protocols.
* *Administer medications* and perform clinical procedures such as venipuncture.
* Operate emergency vehicles in a *safe and responsible* manner, in compliance with traffic laws and EMS protocols.
* Work closely with physicians, nurses, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure *comprehensive patient care*.
* Maintain *accurate and complete medical documentation* for all patient interactions.
* Assist in *urgent care procedures* and physical examinations as needed.
* Perform *lifting and patient movement* tasks, including stretcher operations and support in confined or challenging environments.
* Keep up-to-date with current *medical protocols, terminology, and emergency care procedures*.
*Required Experience and Qualifications*
* Current *Paramedic License *issued by the Missouri Bureau of EMS.
* Proven ability in *patient assessment and critical care management*.
* Strong knowledge of *medical terminology*, anatomy, and physiology.
* Demonstrated proficiency in performing *emergency medical procedures*.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-stress environments.
*Physical and Mental Requirements*
* Requires standing, walking, sitting, and driving for extended periods.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and engage in pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, crouching, and reaching.
* High mental focus and the ability to make quick, sound decisions in *life-threatening scenarios*.
* Exposure to traumatic events and emotionally intense situations is common.
*Equipment Used*
Paramedics in this role are expected to operate and maintain a variety of medical and office-related equipment, including but not limited to:
* *Monitor/Defibrillator/Pacer* Zoll units
* *Stretchers* and *stair chairs*
* *Backboards*, *scoop-type devices*, and other patient transport tools
* *Variety of medical bags and kits* for trauma, airway, medications, and other emergencies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.75 - $20.55 per hour
