Join our growing logistics team as an Order Picker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Locate products within the warehouse, ensuring the correct item and quantity are selected.
- Package picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Move inventory from storage locations to packing or shipping areas.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure picked items meet order specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting Safety and efficiency.
- Operate equipment like pallet jacks safely and effectively for material handling.
- Adhere to all company protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic inventory management.
- Commitment to following Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
