Join our distribution team in Detroit, Michigan, as an Order Picker! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to Safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders, using RF scanners, pick lists, or voice-picking technology.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and safely for shipment.
- Operate order picking equipment, such as pallet jacks and order pickers, safely and efficiently, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Transport picked orders to the packing or shipping area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are stored correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory verification processes.
- Meet or exceed established picking productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
- Must be capable of significant Lifting of items, often weighing up to 50 lbs, and sustained physical activity including walking and bending.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details.
- Proficiency with RF scanners is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following instructions carefully.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
