Become an essential part of our Jacksonville, Florida warehouse operations as an Order Picker! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our fast-paced logistics environment. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or pick lists.
- Use handheld scanners or other technology to track picked items and update inventory.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions before confirming picks.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping stations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory or equipment immediately.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including stocking and replenishment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a logistics setting.
- Commitment to following safety best practices and wearing necessary PPE.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
