As our first Senior Mobile Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in developing and maintaining our core mobile applications. You’ll help drive technical decisions that ensure our mobile platform is scalable, secure, and reliable, delivering an exceptional experience to our users. We thrive on new ideas and close collaboration, and we’re looking for an engineer who pairs strong mobile expertise with a passion for user experience and a desire to make an impact in the healthcare space.What You’ll DoContribute to key architectural decisions for our React Native applicationsBuild and ship new features at high velocity and quality, ensuring seamless performance and reliability on both iOS and Android.Oversee and manage native module development and integrations to support smart devices and advanced features.Identify and implement mobile-specific engineering process improvements, coding best practices, and tooling enhancements.Guide and mentor engineering peers in the world of mobile development, maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and technical documentation.Work closely with product, design, and the broader engineering team to contribute to core mobile facing product initiatives, from ideation to implementation.Produce well-structured, well-documented code with detailed specifications, ensuring maintainability and scalability.Who You AreEducational Background: BS in Computer Science or equivalent.IndustryExperience: 5+ years of industry experience building large-scale mobile applications, preferably in a startup environment.React Native Proficiency: Deep knowledge of React Native, including the lifecycle, state management, and experience using Expo for builds and services.Native Development: Experience with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) to create or maintain native modules.Autonomy & Ambiguity: Comfortable taking ownership of complex projects and working in fast-changing or unclear situations.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, thriving in collaborative team environments.Location: Excited to work in-person with our team in San Francisco.Life at Mochi At Mochi, we believe your best work happens when you feel your best—so we’ve designed an environment that fuels your creativity, supports your growth, and makes every day exciting.
