Job Description Carnival UK is in search of a Senior Architect, Cloud & DevOps, who will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy and enabling robust, scalable solutions across our technology landscape.
Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise-aligned cloud architecture across CUK Cloud Supplier(s) of choice to ensure security, scalability and cost efficiency.
Bridge enterprise and solution architecture with engineering—ensuring low level technical designs adhere to the approved high level designs, architectural principles and compliance standards.
Lead multi‑cloud platform enablement to build a stable foundation for applications, supporting our hybrid ship/shore context.
Influence and clearly communicate designs across distributed teams and suppliers, driving alignment and adoption.
Ensure high level designs, standards, and guidelines are run through the appropriate governance authorities.
This role is classified as
CUK06, offered as a full‑time position, on a permanent basis . We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
Requirements
Major Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure Cloud preferred) certification
Extensive experience in design and delivery of cloud architectures, including governance and compliance.
Strong experience creating cloud and DevOps policies, and standards.
Broad technical knowledge across virtualisation, integration, and converged networks.

Able to influence, challenge and articulate complex design to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
Pragmatic and standards‑driven, with high accountability in remote/outsourced delivery contexts.
Collaborative leader without line management—mentoring, guiding and building consensus across teams.
Curious and improvement‑focused, balancing innovation with compliance.
