About
Under the direction of Dr. Joel Schlessinger and Dr. Daniel Schlessinger, a highly respected father and son team of board-certified dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, and cosmetic surgeons, our Physician Assistants play a vital role in providing outstanding patient care and supporting clinical research.
As part of the award-winning LovelyGroup, which includes , the LovelySkin retail store and spa, and Olive and Delmar, you will be joining a passionate and collaborative team that helps people feel more confident in their skin.
We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants.
Responsibilities:
You will work closely with Drs. Schlessinger and their clinical team to deliver excellent care, assist with a wide range of procedures, and contribute to research activities. You will receive thorough training and support to help you succeed.
• Conduct patient assessments including medical history reviews and physical exams aligned with Drs. Schlessinger's schedule
• Shadow and assist with minor surgical and laser procedures such as excisions, cyst removals, and wart treatments
• Create an exceptional experience for every patient by offering empathetic, attentive, and clear communication
• Support clinical trials and help with ongoing assessments through the Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all patient visits and treatments
• Stay informed about advancements in skincare and medical research
• Follow all clinical protocols, practice policies, and ethical standards
• Participate in a rotating schedule of on-call responsibilities for patient concerns after hours
• Be an active and supportive part of our team environment
What You Bring:
• Active state Physician Assistant license
• NCCPA and DEA certification
• No prior dermatology experience is necessary
• A strong desire to learn and grow in a dermatology setting
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Ability to thrive in a busy, high-energy clinical environment such as emergency medicine or urgent care
