Senior Accountant

Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records while supporting efficient close cycles and informed business decisions. The position partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial clarity, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Core Duties

• Own day-to-day general ledger functions, including journal activity, balance sheet reconciliations, and periodic close cycles
• Review financial results to identify trends, variances, and insights that inform planning and forecasting efforts
• Improve accounting workflows to enhance close speed, data accuracy, and consistency across reporting periods
• Guide and support less experienced accounting staff by establishing clear processes and best practices
• Produce and review internal financial reports in accordance with GAAP and internal standards
• Compile schedules and documentation required for audits and internal reviews
• Partner with operational teams to ensure proper cost tracking, revenue recognition, and project financial alignment
• Maintain records related to fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, and prepaid items
• Provide analytical support to senior finance leadership through customized reporting and special initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience; industry-specific experience is a plus
• Strong grasp of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Proven ability to streamline accounting processes and improve close efficiency
• Experience supporting or mentoring accounting team members
• Hands-on experience using
  NetSuite
  as a primary accounting system
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, and organizational discipline
• Clear communicator with the ability to work effectively across departments
