Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support military and aerospace manufacturing programs by programming (Mastercam and/or Fusion 360), setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision, safety-critical components.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture tight-tolerance aerospace and defense components.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and/or Fusion 360, including multi-axis machining.
  • Interpret complex 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, and GD&T per ASME standards.
  • Select tooling, cutting strategies, and workholding appropriate for exotic and aerospace-grade materials.
  • Perform machine setups and first-article inspections to ensure compliance with customer and industry specifications.
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality management systems (AS9100/ISO) and safety procedures.
  • Document setups, inspections, and process changes to support traceability and audits.
  • Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in military, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.
  • Required: CAM programming experience with Mastercam and/or Fusion 360.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience machining tight tolerances and critical features.
  • Ability to follow detailed process documentation and quality procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience machining aerospace materials such as aluminum alloys, stainless steels, titanium, Inconel, or other high-temperature alloys.
  • Experience with multi-axis (4- or 5-axis) machining.
  • Familiarity with first-article inspection (FAI) and documentation.
  • Prior experience in AS9100-certified environments.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain U.S. person status as required for defense contracts (ITAR compliance).

Skills & Technical Competencies

  • Advanced CNC programming, setup, and operation skills.
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tool life optimization, and surface finish requirements.
  • Proficient in drilling, turning, facing, grooving, threading, and contouring operations.
  • Expert use of precision measurement tools including calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and repeatability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
