We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of event marketing strategies to attract attendees and promote event visibility.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events, including venue setup, catering arrangements, and guest management.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service agreements to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Handle guest inquiries with professionalism, providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after events.
  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking to ensure events stay within financial parameters.
  • Coordinate logistics such as transportation, accommodations, and equipment rentals as needed.
  • Support upselling opportunities by promoting additional services or packages to clients during the event planning process.
  • Contribute to event promotion through social media marketing, email campaigns, and other outreach efforts.
  • Oversee on-site event operations to ensure smooth execution and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, vendor contacts, schedules, and other relevant documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience or background in event marketing, event planning, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills with vendors and clients to secure favorable terms.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in banquet management, catering coordination, or fundraising is a plus.
  • Knowledge of contracts, budgeting processes, and guest services best practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
  • Time management skills that enable efficient prioritization of responsibilities during busy periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $27.51 per hour
