As an Associate Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist for Category Management (CM), you join a team dedicated to supporting the warfighter. You will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of what's known and solve tomorrow's problems. In this role you will work on sending Request for Quotes (RFQ's), and negotiating purchase orders (PO), while managing orders to completion and building relationships with the CM suppliers. The Associate Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist responsibilities will include:
Preparing and executing a mixed portfolio of subcontracts
Managing performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
Identifying strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
Understanding the buyer and seller's roles to establish mutually successful business arrangements
Specifying solicitations and bid packages
Evaluating proposals and negotiating prices/terms
Developing and administrating contractual documentation and post awards
Leveraging your skill and talents throughout this role
Basic Qualifications for Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Supply Chain or Business Management
Experience within MS Office suite
U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications for Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:
Experience as a Team Lead in past projects or roles
Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
SAP experience
Experience with FAR/DFARS
