Futures is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Wellness Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans and delivering therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
  • Provide treatment, tests, patient education, and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress, responses, and performance.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary care plan in collaboration with nursing and clinical teams.
  • Support patients with compassion, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain treatment areas and equipment while ensuring compliance with Florida practice guidelines.
  • Help patients attain or maintain independence, comfort, and dignity throughout their care journey.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure or certification as a PTA in the state of Florida.
  • Graduation from an APTA-approved two-year PTA program or two years of appropriate PTA experience with a passing U.S. Public Health Service proficiency exam (if initially qualified before Dec. 31, 1977).
  • Minimum one year of experience working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, excellent assessment ability, and a calm, reassuring demeanor.
  • Commitment to delivering care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
