Direct Support/Caregiver

Job Summary
Caring Hearts Senior Services of Missouri is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support/Caregivers to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. This role involves supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a caring environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working in a supportive team environment. We are looking for people to serve in the Liberty, Kearney, Orrick, and Excelsior Springs MO areas.

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, behavior, or health status
• Give medication reminders and document the times
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation
• Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning
• Follow individualized care plans developed by the clients family/doctors
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
• Document client observations
• Ride along to medical appointments if needed

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check through the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
• Must have your own reliable form of transportation
• MUST be dependable
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable but not required
• Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's/dementia care, or hospice care is a plus
• Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse needs
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for our clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• You must be attentive to your clients when on the clock
• No smoking/ vaping is allowed when on the clock

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
