POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides instruction to class participants in Zumba exercise using approved Zumba format and choreography
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to class to meet and greet participants
- Dress appropriately for class
- Supervise safety of participants
- Assure that your class is properly covered in the event you are unable to teach a class.
- Cover other classes for instructors when necessary.
- Monitor performance of participants following safety guidelines recommended by certifying body for that modality.
- Providing guidance and feedback to class participants when needed.
- Communicate all equipment maintenance issues with Fitness Director.
- Record participant numbers on attendance log sheet.
- Occasionally assist in special events or classes to promote group exercise and/or spin program when available
- Maintain current certifications and attend a minimum of 1 continuing education courses per year.
- Adheres to policies and procedures related to boundaries with youth, managing high-risk activities and supervising youth.
- Completes all required organizational trainings annually.
- Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
- Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements.
· This organization takes every allegation of abuse or misconduct seriously and will fully cooperate with the authorities to investigate all case of alleged abuse or misconduct. Employees and Volunteers shall cooperate with any external investigation by outside authorities or internal investigation conducted by the organization or persons given investigative authority by the organization.
