Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

Kouri Management is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our apartment communities by performing routine maintenance, responding to service requests, and addressing emergency repairs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in property maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of the property, identifying and addressing maintenance issues before they become major problems.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, minor repairs, and cleaning.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and HVAC filter replacements.
• Maintain and organize maintenance supplies, tools, and work areas.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a secure working environment.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1-3 years of maintenance or skilled trades experience preferred.
• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Licenses & Certifications (Preferred but not Required):
• HVAC Certification (EPA Type I or II)
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces, climbing ladders, and using hand tools.
• Other:
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Availability for on-call emergency maintenance on a rotating schedule.
