Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children with autism. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct support to clients in various settings. The BCBA will collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure the highest quality of care and support for our clients.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify individual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Provide direct therapy services to children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational staff to promote effective strategies for behavior management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct intake assessments to evaluate new clients and determine appropriate services.
- Participate in training sessions for staff on behavioral health practices and special education strategies.
- Ensure that all patient care activities are conducted with respect for client dignity and confidentiality.
Experience
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is mandatory.
- Experience working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with other developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in data collection methods related to behavioral therapy and patient assessment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and managing medical records is essential.
- Previous experience in special education settings or behavioral health environments is preferred.
