Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team focused on producing high-quality protective garments. The ideal candidate will operate Lectra/Gerber and other automated cutting machines, manage material usage, and support inventory control. This role requires attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Lectra/Gerber cutting machines and other automated equipment to cut fabric and materials according to production specifications.

  • Collaborate with other cutters and spreaders to maintain workflow efficiency.

  • Record and monitor material usage; maintain accurate inventory documentation.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cutting equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure timely material availability.

  • Inspect cut materials for quality and accuracy before releasing to production.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience operating Lectra/Gerber or similar cutting machines preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret cutting patterns/work with online cutting software

  • Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.

  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Able to spread fabric manually and automatically

Schedule Requirements:

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed to support production timelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required for machine operation and material inspection.
