Industrial Machine Operator Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Machine Operator Supervisor to join our dynamic food-processing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various types of food processing machinery, to include: Urschel-dicer and slicer, Sormac, Hayssen-vertical bagger, Yamato scales, etc. The Machine Operator Supervisor oversees a team of machine operators, ensuring efficient production by managing workflow, assigning tasks, monitoring machine performance, training new operators, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining quality standards on production lines, all while prioritizing safety regulations and optimizing output according to production schedules.

Duties

Team Management:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of machine operators, assigning tasks based on production needs and operator skills.
• Train new operators on proper machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to operators.
• Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues.
• Develop SOPs to streamline machinery and equipment, pre-ops inspections and routine maintenance.

Production Oversight:

• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and output according to production specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, coordinating repairs with maintenance personnel.
• Optimize machine settings and production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
