Kennel/Veterinary Technician

KanD Beagles is a Premier Breeder of Top Ranked Beagles in the US. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel / Vet Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring they are Safe, Healthy, and Happy.

This is an excellent opportunity for entry into Small Animal Care. Applicants must have Aspirations and Aptitude to grow into a Veterinary Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting concerns
• Assist with animal restraint during medical procedures as needed.
• Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning supplies.
• Support Veterinary Technicians during examinations or treatments as necessary.
• Property Maintenance, mowing, trimming as needed
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.

Requirements

• Must have Aspirations and Aptitude to grow into a Veterinary Technician.
• Knowledge of basic animal care practices, including Feeding, Cleaning, Health Checks
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Pass Background Check
• Animals must be fully vaccinated

Recommendations

• Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is a plus.
• 4H, FFA, history of Animal Care a Huge Plus
