Shift: Full-Time, Nights (Sun–Wed, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM)On-Call: Backup call every 4–5 weeks + rotating holidays (1 major, 1 minor)

Position Overview

A healthcare organization is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join its team. The role involves performing high-quality MRI procedures for ambulatory and hospital patients under the supervision of a Radiologist, following established clinical protocols and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with approved protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, position them correctly, and adjust equipment as needed.
  • Maintain safety and infection-control standards, including proper sterile techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation, imaging records, and required forms.
  • Ensure screening procedures are followed before patients or staff enter MRI zones.
  • Monitor supply levels and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  • Serve as a preceptor to new technologists when needed.
  • Provide first aid or emergency assistance when required.

Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
  • ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience.
  • Availability to work nights (Sun–Wed) and participate in on-call rotation.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional radiologic technology training/certification as required by state and national agencies.
Work Environment
  • Clinical imaging environment with direct patient interaction.
  • Requires adherence to MRI safety standards and protocols.
